The Construction Department is responsible for the
administration of the State Uniform Construction Code. In addition to issuing
construction permits and inspecting the work, the Staff is available to assist residents
in matters involving construction of any type, building, plumbing, electrical or fire
protection work.
The Department is open Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 4:30
PM with the exception of holidays. PERMITS ARE ISSUED ONLY BETWEEN 9:00 AM AND 2:30
PM EACH DAY.
When calling for inspections, please have the following information at
hand: the permit number, the tax block and lot number of the work site, the address
of the work site and the owner's name. Inspections must be requested by the owner or
the responsible person in charge of the work at least 24 hours prior to the time the
inspections are desired. Inspections will be performed within 72 hours of the
request and may be scheduled as follows:
Building Inspections: Monday - Friday
Plumbing, Electrical, & Fire Protection Inspections: Monday, Wednesday
& Friday Only |
